White Doves are a traditional symbol of Love, Peace, Purity, Innocence and Spirituality.
Choosing to have Southern Maryland Doves perform a White Dove release or display for your event is an important decision. We are prepared to make it special and memorable.
You may hold and release the birds or you may choose to release them from our wicker baskets. Heart shaped cages are also available for display.
Many people are concerned that releasing the birds harms them. This is not true ! Our birds are Rock Doves, commonly known as white racing homers (pigeons). They have been trained over a period of months to come home to their loft where fresh water and food awaits. We never take our birds further than they are able to make it home nor do we fly them in poor weather. To see more of our release policy, click here.
