"It is not the one that has left that is suffering, it is those that are left behind"

Many times when a loved one passes we are left with a sense of emptiness and uncertainty of what to do next. How do you move on? How do you let go? A graveside service with a dove release presents a quiet moment of reflection and comfort. It gives closure and a sense of enlightenment that the spirit has lifted and become free. A poem may be read before releasing the bird(s) explaining to others present the symbology or the verse from the Old Testament, Psalm 55.6, "and I say, "Had I but wings like a dove, I would fly away and be at rest.""

One bird

A symbolic release of one spirit flying gently home.

Four birds

Representing The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the three birds are released a small distance from the crowd. They are allowed to lift into the sky and are then followed by the release of a single bird representing the spirit of the loved one departed. This single bird can be released by a family member.

*Payment for dove releases outside of the St. Mary's County area MUST be prepaid via Mastercard or Visa PRIOR to service.

For areas outside of St. Mary's County a distance charge will be added.

You're in the arms of the angels, may you find some comfort there.
